BATUK

The zigzag painting on the Batuk logo is a characteristic of indigenous peoples, especially from the Kayapó tribe – native from the Brazilian Amazon. Portions of this painting resemble the letter “K”, present in the BATUK name. The word “Batuque” originated from the word “Batukajé”, an African term, a reference to the beating of the drums that is typical in religious ceremonies.
